FRANK, ALFRED, 88, died Monday, February 26, 2007. He was born in Louisville and attended Manual High School. A veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theatre in the infantry division and received a Purple Heart for outstanding service. He was the former owner of the Men's Shop-Big and Tall. He was a member of Keneseth Israel Congregation, its Men's Club and The Jewish Community Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Zerlena Frank . He is survived by his wife, Libby Rosen Frank of 60 years; his daughter, Judith Shapira (Harry); son, Armand Frank (Paula); grandchildren, Dr. Adam Shapira (Debra), Ian Shapira and his fiance, Caroline Turner, Holly and Jonathan Frank; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral: 3 p.m. Wednesday at Herman Meyer & Son, 1338 Ellison Avenue. Burial: Keneseth Israel Cemetery. Visitation: after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Keneseth Israel Family Shabbat Fund.
