Former Walla Wallan Alex "Sander" Frank, 67, died here Thursday in St. Michael's Convalescent Hospital. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the Mountain View Cemetery, Walla Wall. The Rev. Ben E. Vegors will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Historical Society of Germans from Russia Grace Baptist Church Building Fun, Blue Mountain Humane Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Frank was born November 20, 1917 in Walla Walla to Henry and Anna E. Maurer Frank. He graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1934 and worked for Montgomery Ward Co.

He moved to Seattle and worked for the Boeing Co. during World War II. In the 1950s, he moved to California an worked as a commercial artist until illness forced his retirement.

Frank is survived by four sisters, Marcille Knudson of Union City, California, Ruth McLaughlin of Vancouver, Washington, an Sara Neal an Mary Heimbigner, both of Walla Walla. He was preceded in death by a sister, Tillie Morris.
