Age 88, went to be with the Lord, November 9, 2016. Leahbelle was born, October 11, 1928 in Lincoln Park, Michigan the daughter of Alphonse and Rosalie “Rose” (Bertrand) Fradette. Leahbelle has been a resident of the Lansing area for the past two years, living in North Carolina for 20 years prior. She and her husband became members at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Leahbelle enjoyed to read, roller skate, camp, square dance and play games with the family. She was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and did not miss many games. Leahbelle loved her family more than anything, she devoted her life to them. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Charis D’Anna; 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Leahbelle is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Nicholas; children, Pamela (Dave) Thelen, Michael D’Anna, Debra (John) Matchulat and Mary Jane (Larry) Karas; sister, Eileen (Bill) Wilson; grandchildren, Shannon, Amy, Maria, Tara, Kelliann, Kaci, Tiffany and Ian; great grandchildren, Sadie, Cole and Keegan. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be, Tuesday, November 15, 2016, 10:30 AM at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Klein as celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends, Monday, November 14, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Delta Chapel where a rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral at church. The family would like to thank Sparrow Senior Health Staff, Sparrow Hospice and Visiting Angels, especially Ali for all of their loving care for Leahbelle. The family would also like to thank all of their relatives and friends for their support and loving care at a time when it was greatly needed. That love meant more than you will ever know and will never be forgotten. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Leahbelle.
