Janet Arlene Clinton
Janet Arlene Clinton of Edgewater, FL., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 8th, 2012. All of her family were by her side as she lost her six month battle against cancer.
Janet was born to John T. Fracker and Ida J. Fracker on October 9th, 1940 in Zanesville, Ohio. She moved to Florida in 1958 where she later met and fell in love with Edward K. Clinton Sr. They married on February 24th, 1962. They recently had a wonderful celebration of their 50th anniversary with family and friends.
Janet was a loving mother to her children and their spouses, Kim C DeBerry, (Gregory N. DeBerry), Eddie K. Clinton Jr.,(Tonia B. Clinton), Kelly M. Smith, (Timothy A. Smith), and Kyle M. Clinton, (Julie A. Christine-Clinton) and a proud grandmother of her seven grandchildren.
Janet is fondly remembered as being a dance teacher in Edgewater for many years and is well known in the community for her volunteer work and her generous heart. She was a former Lady Elk as well.
She is survived by her two brothers, Gary L. Fracker, his children, and Larry E. Fracker.
The funeral service with be held at Settle-Wilder Funeral Home in New Smyrna Beach, FL on Monday, November 12th, 2012. Calling hours are from 12:30 -2:00, with the service beginning at 2:00. A procession will follow the service to Clinton Cemetery, Clinton Cemetery Road, Edgewater, FL.
The pallbearers will be Tracey Barlow, Trevor Barlow, Toby Robertson, Nicholas DeBerry, Bobby Iasimone, and Lynn Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's name to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler, ATTN: Edgewater Care Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL. 32129.
