Mrs. Brown had been a waitress at a restaurant at Fourth and South streets, and worked in the jewelry department at Loeb's Department Store for several years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and her hobby was gardening.
Surviving are three daughters: Margie Brown Lyman, Judy Brown Williams, and Linda Brown Wise, all of Lafayette; a sister, Laverne Batta of West Lafayette; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Bessie Lee Klinglesmith Fox; and a sister, Elizabeth Ewing.
