Geraldine Mae Fox (1922-2010)
Gerry passed away in her home surrounded by family. It was in Iowa where she met and fell in love with Bob "Tommy" Fox, her husband of 68 years. She was a resident of Lane County for 64 years. An avid bowler, she worked in bowling alleys for many years before retiring.
Gerry and Tommy bought and operated a commercial fishing boat out of Charleston Bay. Gerry would drive the boat and Tommy would pull the rigging. They shared many adventures together on the open sea in search of the "ultimate" fish school. Gerry loved a good party, and was a part of the wives that supported the Oregon Jazz Band, for which Tommy played saxophone. She and Tommy traveled extensively with the band.
Geraldine is survived by her spouse, Robert Thomas Fox, daughter Sharon Lilligren, son Thomas Robert Fox, sister Shirley Troy, brother Gary Wilson, three grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two sisters, and three brothers.
A graveside service will be held Thurs., June 24th, at 1:00 p.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Eugene with gathering following at the Fox home. In lieu of flowers you can donate to Signature Hospice of the American Cancer Society.
