Mrs. Grace Helen Coe Fox, 96, of Taneytown, died Monday, August 30, 2004, at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster, after a brief illness.

Born May 28, 1908, in Taneytown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carrie Harmon Coe. She was the wife of the late George B. Fox, who died in 1985.

Mrs. Fox was a member of Emmanual (Baust) United Church of Christ, Tyrone.

Surviving are sons, George J. Fox of Taneytown, and Earl K. Fox and his wife Dorothy of Dickerson; daughter-in-law, Beverly Scott-Fox of Punxsutawney, Pa.; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sons, Ralph Fox, who died shortly after birth, and Carroll Fox; and great-granddaughter Courtney James.

Mrs. Fox will be greatly missed by her caregiver/grandson James Fox. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 from the Skiles Funeral Home, 136 East Baltimore St., Taneytown. Her pastor, the Rev. Gerald D. Fuss, will officiate. Interment will be in Baust Church Cemetery, Tyrone.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
