Killed by Auto
Redwood City, Oct. 20 – Harry Fowler, of Los Gatos, chauffeur for Charles N. Felton, Menlo Park capitalist, is dead after having been run down at Five Points on the State Highway near Redwood City by an automobile driven by Herbert Furrer, proprietor of a soda bottling works at Palo Alto. Fowler’s back was broken. According to witnesses including Deputy Sheriff Jack Barnett, Furrer sped away without stopping after striking Fowler. Barnett happened to be near by and arrested Furrer near the scene of the accident. He is now in the Redwood City jail, but no charge has been placed against him as yet.
