BILOXI - Amelia Fountain Alley, 96, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Alley was born in the St. Martin Community and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Biloxi where she was a member of the Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Edwin Alley; two sons, Donald "Pete" Alley and James Alley; a daughter, Mary Delores Alley; her parents, Emmanuel Louis Fountain and Geneva Seymour Fountain; two sisters, Albertine Fountain and Alethia Fountain Miller; and five brothers, Mackie Fountain, Francis Fountain, Benny Fountain, Roy Fountain and Leo Fountain.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy A. Burton and Annette A. Pell, both of D'Iberville, Debbie A. Hann of San Antonio, and Marian Slinkard of Ocala, Fla.; three sons, Edwin N. Alley, Orion F. Alley and Earl D. Alley, all of Biloxi; a sister, Norita Fountain King of St. Martin; a brother, Graham Fountain of St. Martin; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church where friends may call two hours before service time. Recitation of the rosary will be at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Seymour Cemetery in Ocean Springs. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
