BARBARA FOSTER EDMONDSON
"A LIFE WELL LIVED"
Barbara Ann Foster Edmondson, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2011 at her home.
She was born on October 22, 1932 in El Dorado, Arkansas, a daughter of Otis and Cleo Elizabeth Lester Foster. She lived in El Dorado, Arkansas; Hattiesburg, Missisisippi; Georgia; Huntsville, Alabama; Salt Lake City, Utah and Brigham City, Utah.
She graduated from Brookhaven High School, Copiah-Lincoln Junior College, University of Alabama in Huntsville, and attended Mississippi State College.
Barbara married John King Edmondson on August 29, 1953, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Together they had five children, Tom, Kyle, Dana, Claire and Scott. They later divorced.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Barbara worked at Brigham City Community Hospital as a ICU Registered Nurse, Pioneer Valley as House Supervisor and Lakeview Hospital as a Charge Nurse.
She enjoyed reading, playing tennis, loved music, loved her family and her dogs and cats.
Surviving are five children: Tom (Cindy) Edmondson, New Hope, Alabama; Kyle (Trish) Edmondson, Brigham City, Utah; Dana (Pam) Edmondson, Lincoln City, Oregon; Claire Edmondson, Brigham City, Utah; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Also two sisters, Carolyn Cadenhead, Guldport Mississippi, and Linda Miles, Moss Point, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Interment was held Augugst 2, 2011 at the Brigham City Cemetery, Brigham City, Utah.
