Born May 17, 1921, in Calumet, she was the daughter of Gus and Alice (Hodgson) Foster. Esther and Guerdon Craven were married in 1940 in Calumet.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Pengilly United Methodist Church and the Marinoff–Miskovich VFW Post 8831 Auxiliary of Pengilly. Esther was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Charles (Dwan) Craven of Gilbert, Steven Craven of Hibbing, Jean (Jim) Hall of Orr, Judy (Bob) Lucca of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jeri and Joyce Craven, both of Pengilly; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; her special sister-in-law, Barbara Foster; and a special friend, Lynne Carroll.
Her parents, her husband, Guerdon; a son, Richard; a grandson, Rick; and three brothers, Sam, Lester and S.L. Foster, preceded her in death.
Funeral: The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at the Pengilly United Methodist Church.
Visitation: Will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the church.
Burial: Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine.
