Mrs. Bell, 86, dies after a long illness Mrs. Isabel Jane Bell died at the home of her sister Mrs. N. E. Timmons (Nancy Foster), Sunday morning, March 29 1931, at about 315 o'clock. She had been sick for eight months. During all her illness she was patient and kind, always expressing her appreciation to those that ministered to her wants.
Isabel Jane Foster was born May 15, 1844 in the state of Ohio. She was one of twelve children of the late John and Margaret Foster. Four brothers preceded her in death. The surviving brothers and sister are: Joe H. Foster, M. E. Foster, Mrs. Emma Howell and Mrs. N. E. Timmons of this place, Fletcher Foster of Atwood, Robert Foster of Lawton, Iowa, and Mrs. S. M. Gibeson (Sarah Foster) of Rockford, Colo.
She was married to Silas Bell, of this place and made Lovington her home until after his death several years ago. She had one daughter, Mrs. Melissa Overstreet, also deceased. She leaves one grandchild, Mrs. Madge Pearce, three great grandchildren, George Overstreet (son of Charlie and Lillian) and Miss Marvel Pearce, of Oelrichs, South Dakota and Mrs. Janice (Overstreet, daughter of Charlie and Lillian) Snook and one great grandson, Cloyd Snook, of Crawford, Neb., also a number of nieces and nephews. Following her husbands death she went to live with her daughter in South Dakota and remained there until September 1, 1929 when she came to spend the winter with her sister, Mrs. N. E. Timmons and was never well enough to return to South Dakota.
Mrs. Bell was a life long member of the Methodist church. Funeral services were held at the McMullin funeral home Monday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. M. M. Blair, pastor of the Methodist church. H. M. Walmsley sang, Golden Years Are Passing and Rock of Ages accompanied by Mrs. C. A. Gregory on the piano. The pallbearers were Jack Kearney, George Kearney, C. W. Dixon, S. A. Booker, Frank Foster and E. S. foster. The flowers were in charge of Mrs. N. W. Boggs and Mrs. S. A. Booker.
Interment was beside her husband in the Kellar Cemetery, south of town.

There is no stone for Isabel but she is buried with her husband Silas Bell. Her first husband was James Earp and she had one child with him Melissa Earp Overstreet.
