Funeral services for Edgar T. Foster were conducted at the Baker & Son chapel, Sunday afternoon. Mr. Foster died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Beckner, near Arlington. Burial was in the K. of P. cemetery, Lizton.
Mr. Foster lived on a farm near Lizton for a number of years and following the death of his wife, Carrie, in 1927, he operated a parking lot in Indianapolis, from which he retired in 1945. Since that time, he had lived with his daughter. He was 85 years old.
He was a charter member of the Knights of Pythias lodge at Lizton, and the last survivor of the original eleven directors and stockholders of the Lizton State Bank.
Survivors besides the daughter, are two sons, Roger and Donald, of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one step-grandson. A sister, Mrs. Bert Tharp, and a brother, Harry Foster of Lizton, also survive. Mrs. Hallie Peters of Danville is a niece.
