LITTLE ROCK, ARK. – Gerald “Jerry” H. Foster, 67, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 19, 2014.

He was born December 31, 1946, in Athens, the son of the late Charles Albert Foster Jr. and Lillian Frances Haynie Foster. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier and formerly employed at Reynolds Metals Company. Jerry was a United States veteran, serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Foster was preceded in death by a stepson, James Newman.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Foster; son, Daniel W. Foster (Elizabeth), North Little Rock, Ark.; daughter, Judy Pierce (Brad), Benton, Ark.; four grandchildren, Andrew Pierce, Josh Foster, Eli Foster, and Isabella Pierce; sisters, Melissa Carter (Cary) and Melinda Fleeman (Terry); brother, David Foster; and a host of family and friends who love and will miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 23, at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. Interment will be at 12 noon at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark.
