Ena F. Curtin
Ena Foster Curtin, who retired as a U.S. Civil Service employee at Pensacola Naval Air Station, died Thursday at a local nursing facility. She was 91. Mrs. Curtin, a native of Cayman Brac in the British West Indies, moved to Mobile as a child. She was in the first graduating class at Murphy High School in 1926. At one time, she had resided in the Philippines and served as secretary to the historian of the 13th Air Force Command at Clarke Air Force Base. She was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church and American Federation of Government Employees. Survivors include her daughter, Eleanor Bayer of Mobile; a stepdaughter, Mamie Koelenbeekof Hertford, N.C.; three grandsons; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from noon until services begin at 2 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens mausoleum at.
