Forrest, Forrie, & F.M. Foss, passed away peacefully at Mira Vista Nursing Home on October 22, 2011. He was born into a family of loggers on September 24, 1914.
F.E. Foss & Sons built roads around Heart Lake and Mount Erie. They were loggers of Cypress Island, Concrete, Marblemount, Snohomish Valley and all around Skagit Valley.
Later in his life, he worked for Washington State Ferry as an agent on Lopez Island. He loved boating, fishing, and reminiscing of days gone by.
Preceding him in death was father, Forrest, mother, Eva, sister, Lois, brothers, Clifford and Fred, and son, Pat.
Surviving family members are brothers, Scott (and Kelly), and Neil (and Katherine); sons, Gary (and Diana), and Taw (and Cheryl); grandchildren: Richard, Roger, Jana and Chad; great-grandchildren, Korey, Jody and Jake; and great-great-grandchild, Carter.
Many heartfelt thanks to Cap Sante Court, Island Family Physicians, Island Hospital, and Mira Vista Nursing Home. His dear friend, Lysa Smithee, spend many hours by his side, and was a wonderful caregiver.
Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Home.
