She was born in Fitchburg on Aug. 11, 1941, a daughter of the late Adelard and Melina (Ducharme) Fortin. She graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1959, and Mount Wachusett Community College in 1979.
Mrs. Benham was a real estate broker for more than 23 years, most recently at Re/Max Property Promotions in Fitchburg.
She had lived in Lunenburg since 1973, and was a member of St. Boniface Parish. She was a member of the Northern Worcester County Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Besides her husband, survivors include three sons, Randy Benham, Ronald Benham and Paul Benham, all of Leominster; a brother, Robert Fortin of Leominster; two sisters, Cheryl Charland of Westminster and Donna Belt of Urbana, Mo.; seven grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
