Genevieve "Jean" Fort passed away at the age of 92 at the Convalescent Care Center Thursday afternoon, May 5, 2005.
Jean was born in Morning Sun, Iowa, in 1912, graduated from Drake University with a music major and taught school for many years. She was a 50-year member of the P.E.O. and an avid bowler and reader.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Harlan (Cy) Fort, in 1985 and moved to Lompoc to be near her son, David. At her request, no services are planned.
Contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary.
