Emma Dott (Forsythe) Coffman passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 in Lubbock, Texas. She was 87. Mrs. Coffman was born in Iron City, Tennessee and grew up in Los Angeles, where she attended Belmont High School and George Pepperdine College. She and her late husband, Horace G. Coffman, moved from L.A. to Lubbock in 1946 to assume ministerial duties at the Broadway Church of Christ, where they served for 53 years. Mrs. Coffman was preceded in death by her husband and by her daughter, Glyn Coffman Johnson.

She is survived by a son, O. Bruce Coffman of New Orleans; two daughters, Nan Hadley and Hedy Howard, both of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock on Friday, June 15, 2O12 at 11 a.m. under the under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors. The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial gift to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
