Dorothy (Forster) Thomas, of Valencia, formerly of Bellevue, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014. She was the wife of the late Theodore Thomas Jr.; loving mother of Donna (Bill) Wyland and Barbara (Bob) Bridge; loving grandmother of six, Jim (Kimberly) Wyland, Douglas (Meica) Wyland, Kimberly (Kevin) Krul, Kathy Kyle, Jim (Janet) Bridge and Matthew Bridge; and loving great-grandmother of 12, Olivia, James and Addison Wyland, Isabella, Jack, Samuel, Katelyn and Benjamin Wyland, McKenna and Brandon Krul and Caitlin and John Kyle. Dorothy worked for many years as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Co. and The State of Pennsylvania. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at Bellevue Suburban Hospital and later at Highland Valley Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member before moving to St. Barnabas Village and later Valencia Woods Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at the Chapel in St. Barnabas Village Building A, 5850 Meridian Road, Gibsonia, PA. A private interment will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
