Born in Oklahoma City on March 23, 1937, to Richard and Mildred Forrester, Barbara attended Mount Saint Mary Catholic High School where she met and married LeRoy Leo Brandt on October 31, 1955. Together they had four children and made their home in Yukon, where they ran a successful family business, Brandt's Hardware. A devout Catholic, with a special devotion to Mary, the Mother of God, she faithfully attended St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. Following the sudden death of LeRoy in 1981, Barbara met and married, a wonderful and caring man, Charles Schwarz. She became a mother to Charles' son Andy. They were happily married for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband Charles; daughters, Sherry Yeich, Margie Meibergen, and Julie Mayfield; sons, Richard Brandt and Andy Schwarz; grandchildren, Joey, Melissa and Madeline Meibergen, James, Nathan, Stuart and Will Mayfield and Antonia and Annalee Brandt.
