Lillian Forrest Bowden, 78, died Tuesday, June 13, 1995, in Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bowden, a native of Pitt County, lived in Norfolk for several years prior to moving back to Greenville in 1965. She provided child care in her home for many years. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Norfolk.
She is survived by a son, Jesse Bowden of Greenville; a sister, Edith Forrest Williams of Greenville; a foster sister, Annie M. Dukes of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The funeral will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Wilkerson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 1600 Colonial Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23501.
