Former carburetor plant worker Deborah Fay Forrest, 58, of Springville died Sunday night, July 31, 2011, at Henry County Medical Center. The cause of death was not given.
She was married on April 25, 1981, to Paul Neil Forrest, who survives.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Larry Dukes, pastor of Point Pleasant Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are Rusty Robinson, Tom and Thomas Wilson, Mark and Henry Medlock and Mike James.
Honorary pallbearers will be Susan Medlock, Lucille Claxton, Kathy Osborn and Teresa Nash.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Born June 15, 1953, in Paris, she was a daughter of the late Harold Thomas and Dorothy “Dot” Fay Claxton Starkweather. She was raised by her late uncle and aunt, Richard and Evelyn Claxton Fiorita.
Forrest worked for Holley carburetor plant until it closed. She later worked with Tomorrow’s Hope Pregnancy Help Center and was a foster parent. She was a member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves one sister: Dorothy Marie Fiorita Kingsley of San Diego; one brother: Richard Fiorita of San Diego; four sisters-in-law: Tanya (Roger) Lindsey, Dena (Tom) Merick, Shannon (Roy) Morton and Kristy Ryan; a brother-in-law: Jon (Kathy) Forrest; and some cousins who live in the Paris area.
