HAMPTON - Harold "Pete" Forrest, 70, died on Tuesday, May 23, 1995. He was a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson.

He was a United Methodist. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Hampton Post No. 5500; a member of Quinde Roe Council No. 42, Degree of Pocahontas; and a Navy veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Vera L. Forrest; two stepsons, Keith Amick of Hampton, and Roger Amick of Grafton; one stepdaughter, Karen Geldner of Chevy Chase, Md.; three brothers, Earnest Forrest Jr. of Poquoson, John Thomas Forrest of Poquoson and Carroll Faye Forrest of Poquoson; one sister, Betty Sue Wright of Poquoson; five step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home by Rev. Edward Barnett. Burial in Parklawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home.
