Gladys Blanche Cox, 80, of Beverly Hills, Fla., and formerly of Stewartstown Road, Morgantown, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at her residence in Beverly Hills. She was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Clyde Clifford and Nellie Darby Forman.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Beverly Hills and a member of the Forks of Cheat Baptist Church in Morgantown. She was the first secretary of Parkersburg Council 35 (U.C.T.) Auxiliary and helped organize the Auxiliary in Fort Lauderdale and served as secretary for many years. She was the Past Grand Counselor of the Ga.-Fla. Auxiliary (U.C.T.)
She is survived by her husband, Hiram L. Cox; one daughter and spouse, Linda and Alton Harnage, of Lecanto, Fla.; two grandsons, Todd Roberts, of Herndon, Va., and Greg Roberts, of Sunrise, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Stephen, Kyle and Cole Roberts, all of Herndon; two brothers, Clyde Forman, of Morgantown, and James Forman, of Bruceton Mills; and one sister, JoAnn Raisor, of College Station, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Cox in 1984, a daughter, Maxine Louise Roberts in 1994, and several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Hastings Funeral Home on Monday, March 4, 2002, from 7-9 p.m.; and on Tuesday, March 5, 2002, from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. time of service with Rev. Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Pisgah.
