Jessie Gay, was born December 13, 1927, at Enid, Oklahoma. She died June 20, 2001, at Oklahoma City. Jessie Gay's love of art, particularly Southwestern Art, was fostered by many happy summers spent with her parents in Taos, New Mexico. She attended New Mexico University and the University of Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Classen High School, Oklahoma City. Jessie Gay was an accomplished Artist. She was a member of the Docent Council since 1997 at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum where she enjoyed many happy hours with friends. She as well as her mother were ardent collectors of Indian Art and artifacts. Her effervescent and outgoing personality attracted many long friendships during her lifetime. Her deeply devoted family will miss her love and tender care. She was preceded in death by her parents; Harry B. and Mary Gladys Foresman; a sister, Maurine June Johnson. Jessie Gay is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Donald H. Cole; daughters, Mary Alice McCollom and her husband, David, Victoria Lynn McNally and her husband, James; a son, Donald Kyle Cole; grandchildren, Cody McColIom and wife, Kim, Chrishian Nelson and husband, Brent; a niece Harylou Nueffer and husband, Bob of Big Fork, MT, a nephew, Luther Buddy Johnson of New Orleans, LA.
