Bessie F. Barr, 74, died Tuesday, in Akron, Ohio.

Survivors include: one son, Walter R. Barr III, Akron, Ohio; three brothers, Marvin Ford, Levi ford and Charles Ford, all of Akron, Ohio; one sister, Eleanor Carter, Kingsport, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benny Frye officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery.

Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, was in charge of arrangements.
