Douglas Larimore Ford, son of the late Willis J. Ford and Kathleen Larimore Ford, was born 4 Apr 1928 in Davis Co., Ky., and died 25 Feb 1981 at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg, Ky. He was 52 years, 10 months and 22 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church at the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, Jewell Dean Ford; his mother, Mrs. Kathleen Ford; sons, Tony and Trent Ford, both of Greensburg, Ky; and Tim Ford, of Birmingham, Ala. Two grandchildren, Angie and Brandon Ford, survive. A host of other relatives and friends also survive. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Fri. 27 Feb 1981 with burial in Summersville Memory Gardens. The Rev. James Loy, the Rev. Gene Weddle, and the Rev. Jack Vibbert officiated. Active pallbearer were: Bobby Upton, Joe Rhoton, Roy McCubbin, Larry Smith, Tony Ford, Tim Ford, Trent Ford, and Rolf Von Reitzenstein. Honorary pallbearers were: Darryl Mosley, W.D. Aspley, Leon Lasley, John Phelps, Bobby Bowe, Phil Kennedy, Bob Gardner, John Green, Bruce Brown, Ben VanHook, Larry Warren and Richie Huff.
