Alexander R. Force, 81, of Clinton Manor Apartments, died last Friday, in the Alan Calder Wing of St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center.
He was born in Schenectady, May 9, 1903, the son of Edward and Rose Fitz Force.
He received his education in Schenectady schools.
In Willowvale, April 22, 1933, he married Lillian Elizabeth Bohn. The couple has resided in Clinton for the past three years.
Force had been employed at St. Luke's Hospital for several years and also had been a school crossing guard for the New Hartford School System.
He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Willowvale Fire Department.
Surviving: his wife are two daughters, Joan Burke and Catherine Fauss; two sisters, Gertrude Hoffman and Mildred Higgins, both of Schenectady; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held and burial, was in Forest Hill Cemetery.
