Charlotte (Forbes) Gordon, daughter of William Robert and Emma L. (Riffe) Forbes, William a native of Virginia was a machinist who settled in West Virginia as a boy, spending his life in Lincoln and Kanawaha counties, he died in Charlestwon, West Virginia. Emma was born in West Virginia where she reared here three children.
Charlotte married James Albert Gordon October 15, 1900 in Lincoln county, West Virginia. They had a daugher Hope Gordon, born in Portland, Oregon who married Wilbur F. Petty October 10, 1936.

Mrs. Gordon was born in West Virginia. She and her husband, James Albert Gordon, came to Klamath Falls in 1910 where he had the Buick Agency. Later he worked for the First National Bank, and at the time of his death in 1936, was president.
Mrs. Gordon moved to California in 1940.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Hope MacDonald, and two grandsons, James and Robert MacDonald, all of Mountain View, Calif.
