The funeral of Albert Fonda, Sr., was held Monday afternoon at the home on the Fonda-Johnstown macadam road and was largely attended. The Rev. Jesse F. Durfee officiated, assisted by the Rev. H. C. Cussler of Gansevoort, a former pastor of Mr. Fonda, who preached the funeral sermon. There were several floral tributes. The bearers were Thomas J. Stewart, Philip Boshart, Arch Kested, Chester Austin, Peter Schuyler and Dr. L. E. Moore (Amsterdam). Burial was in Evergreen cemetery, Sand Flats. Among the out-of-town friends in attendance were Boyd Ehle, a nephew, of New York city; Earl Dockstader and daughter, Mrs. Howard Heroth, of St. Johnsvllle; Anna and Minnie Fonda and Mr. and Mrs. G.
