Mrs. Viola Fonda, 79, of Fultonville, widow of Winfield Fonda died at 10 Monday night at a Utica hospital where she had been a patient for several years. She had been in ill health for several years. She was born July 2, 1887 in Argusville, the daughter of Adam and Delle Doneburgh. She was a Gold Star Mother, having lost her son, Francis, in World War II. Mrs. Fonda was a member of the Pilgram Holiness Church of Fultonville. Surviving are a son, Richard Fonda of Fonda; two daughters Mrs. Kenneth Siebe of Fonda and Mrs. Frank Paine of St. Johnsville; 13 grandchildren, several great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
