Obit: Betty Jean Foltz Heatwole, 67, of 3030 Oak Ridge Road, Mt. Crawford died Saturday, February 5, 2000, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. A daughter of the late Roy C. and Flossie Campbell Foltz, she was born in Harrisonburg where she lived all her life. Mrs. Heatwole graduated from Dayton High School and was a receptionist at Discount City before retiring in 1990. She was an active member of Garbers Church of the Brethren. On October 19, 1952, she married Glen D. “Boo” Heatwole, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons; Doug Heatwole of Marietta, GA, Steve Heatwole of Mt. Crawford, and Jeff Heatwole of San Francisco, CA; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Julie, Jeffery, Andrew and Tommy Heatwole; two sisters, Norma Dale Coakley of Salem, VA and Laura Frances Kite of Harrisonburg and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2000, at 4:00 p.m. at Garbers Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Clarence Moyers officiating. A family burial will be held at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home or at her residence at any time.
