This soldier, John Folan, is a relative of mine. First of all, I would like to say thank you for taking the time to create a memorial for him. I was so pleased to see that someone had taken the time to honor him in such a way. I have some additional information that could be added if you would like. He was born abt. 1827 in Ireland. He was killed in action on May 19, 1864 at Harris' farm near Spotsylvania Court House, Virginia. He was married to (Unknown). She died on May 25, 1860. He also had a son, John W. Folan, he was born on Jun 10, 1853. Today I received another gift when a helpful volunteer photographed his grave marker. I thank you again and please know that this means a lot to my family.
