A telephone message from Kewanna today, brought the sad news of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth FOGLESONG, of that place, which occurred this morning. Mrs. Foglesong has been ill for some time and although death has been expected at any time the end was a cruel blow to her many loving relatives and friends. She was a favorite with all who knew her and was familiarly known by Kewanna people as "Aunty Betty," who held her in high esteem. She was born April 22, 1831 and in 1850 was married to John FOGLESONG at her home near Logansport. Mr. & Mrs. Foglesong came to Kewanna in 1877, where they kept a hotel until the death of Mr. Foglesong in 1902. Since that time she managed the hotel by herself. The surviving children are Mrs. Minnie KNOPP, Brooklyn; Mrs. Laura A. SHAFFER, Kewanna; Mrs. Lavina J. WOODFIELD, Lucerne; Mrs. Henry PFEIFFER, this city; Peter [FOGLESONG] Lucerne; William [FOGLESONG], Kewanna; Daniel C. [FOGLESONG], St. Joseph, Missouri; and Frank S. [FOGLESONG], Bear Lake, Michigan. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, in Kewanna.
