--Mrs. Clayton, 64, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Providence Hospital in Columbia.
--Born in Lancaster on Dec. 2, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Mary Johnson Flynn. Mrs. Clayton retired from Springs Industries and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
--Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Charles Clayton; a daughter, Becky Thompson and her husband, Chris, of Chester; two sons, Greg Clayton and his wife, Kim, of York and Brian Clayton of Chester; two brothers, Norman Flynn of Gilbert and Bobby Flynn of Chester; a sister, Patsy Clayton of Chester; six grandchildren, Kristin Roberts and her husband, Jason, Drew and Chad Thompson, Briana Clayton and Tyler and Nicholas Clayton; and one great-grandson, Clayton Roberts.
