Galivants Ferry…..Lucille F. Ambrose, age 88 widow of the late Vernon Ambrose, passed away Sunday October 31, 2010, at Kingston Nursing Center.

Mrs. Ambrose was born October 27, 1922 a daughter of the late Willie and Annie Barnhill Floyd. She was a member of Aynor United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, William A. Ambrose and his wife Annette, of Carolina Beach, N.C., Phillip V. Ambrose and his wife Judy of Galivants Ferry, one daughter Janice C. Ambrose of Surfside, four grandchildren, Alan Ambrose and his wife Heather, Phillip Ambrose Jr. and his wife Kirsten, Dallas Ambrose, Jarrett Ambrose, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Aynor United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tony Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Aynor Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 PM at the Church. Memorials may be made to Mercy Care, P.O. Box 50640 Myrtle Beach S.C. 29579, or to the Aynor United Methodist Church P.O. 348, Aynor S.C. 29511.
