TEFFT -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Todd Funeral Home, DeMotte, for Roy Elmer Florer, 85, who died Sunday at Canterbury Place Nursing Home, Valparaiso.
The Rev. Hosea Drake will officiate. Full military rites will be performed at San Pierre Cemetery.
The son of Henry and Rachael (Ferrell) Florer, he was born June 12, 1891 near DeMotte. On Sept. 28, 1922, he married Sarah Ann Britton, who preceded him in death in 1960.
Florer was a retired janitor of Tefft School, a position he held for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of North Judson American Legion Post 92.
Survivors include a son, Paul of Tefft; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Maxine) Lauridsen of Kouts; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Todd Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.
