Pauline Elizabeth Flock Bowen 89, Indianapolis, died Thursday, March 25, 2004. She was born September 30, 1914 in Bloomingdale, IN to William L. and Addie Bussabarger Flock. She married William K. Bowen on April 16, 1938 in Rockville, Maryland; he survives. She retired from the Army Finance Center in Indianapolis in 1974, after 20 years of service, and had worked at Realsilk Hosiery Mill. After retirement, the Bowens lived in Hollywood, FL for many years, and returned to Indianapolis in 1995. She was a 1932 graduate of Bloomingdale (IN) High School. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters: Beulah Berry, Mildred Davies and Margaret Hicks; and 6 brothers: Dee, Clifford, Carson, Walter, Ralph and Herschel Flock. Survivors include her husband; 3 daughters: Wanda (Jon) Hilty of Farmer City, IL, Sandra Finkel of Columbus, IN and Pamela (David) Hauser of New Palestine, IN; 7 grandchildren: Julie (George) Lutz of Fort Wayne, Scott Hilty of Las Vegas, NV, Nicole (Bryce) Warren of Monticello, IL, Cassandra (Duane) Otte of Greenwood, Cynthia Finkel of Bloomington, IL, Katherine and Evan Hauser, both of New Palestine, IN; 2 great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Flock of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces & nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Mon., March 29 at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville, IN. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sun., March 28 at Barnes Mortuary, Rockville, IN.
