Frances Flippen Anglin
Frances Flippen Anglin, 82, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare on Eason Blvd. after a lengthy illness. A native of Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Homer Wright and Lula Mae Minyard Flippen. Earlier in her life she was a schoolteacher who taught in the Sunflower County, Carroll County and Tupelo City Schools. She enjoyed sewing, flowers and reading. She was a longtime member of the Priceville Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Tim Tutor and the Rev. Tim McMillan officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Harvey Anglin of Tupelo; one daughter, Mary Anglin Hudson and her husband, Phillip, of Starkville; two sons, Richard Anglin and his wife, Beverly, of Madison, and Joe Anglin and his wife, Mary Kaye, of Dixon, Tenn.; one sister, Elizabeth Flippen Armstrong and her husband, Billy, of Morton; eight grandchildren, Melinda Hudson, Nancy Hudson, Sarah Bassett, Laura Anglin, Dan Anglin, Joe Anglin, Martha Anglin and Emily Anglin; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Julia Anglin.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Homer Wesley Flippen and Earl Flippen.
Pallbearers will be Mark Patton, Anthony Patton, Wayne Ray, Terry Harbin, Ivy Duvall and Gerald Adderholt.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
