Mrs. Elsie Flippin Dotson
Mrs. Elsie Flippin Dotson, 68, of 105 Applegate St., Winona, died suddenly March 21 at her home, apparently of a heart attack.
Mrs. Dotson, originally from Lebanon, Tenn., was the daughter of James Turner Flippin and Willie Delia White and widow of the late A. C. Dotson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Willie Sue Holder and Mrs. Arlice Townsend both of Winona; her son A. C. Dotson, Jr., from Winona, her sisters, Mrs. Mae Brown, Jackson, Mrs. Era Marshall, Belton, Mo., and Mrs. Willie Dee Wheeler, Stockton, Kan. and her brother, George Flippin. In addition she is survived by five grandchildren.
Mrs. Dotson was a member of First Baptist Church and the Womans Club.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church, Sunday at 3 p.m., March 23. Services were led by Rev. David Pratt and Rev. W. M. Hull and directed by Winona Funeral Home. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Aubrey Boone, Guy Hester, L. C. Hemphill, Bobby Hemphill, George Harris and George Frank Carwile.
