An active member of the community he served as a member of the Town Select Board and as Town Constable. He will always be remembered as a hardworking and very generous man willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed flowers and the outdoors and had a great love for all animals and wildlife, especially his Purple Martins and his two Irish Setters Molly and Murphy who also perished with him in Sunday's fire. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force.
