Mrs. Julia Mae Fletcher Currie, 91, of Fletchers Chapel Road, died on Thursday, February 12, 2015.

Mrs. Currie was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Wiley and Emma Perry Fletcher. She retired from Burlington Industries as a seamstress. Mrs. Currie attended Grove Park Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hurley Currie. She was one of 12 siblings.

She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Neems of Durham, Jacque Freeman of Fleetwood, NC and Donna Eaton of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Beth Dombrowsky of Enola, Pennsylvania, Robert Osborne and Allen Osborne both of Durham, Michelle Marlowe of Myrtle Beach, SC, Crystal Fernando of Atlanta, Ga. and Dawn Schlangen of Woodbury, Tennessee; 9 great-grandchildren and one sister, Grace Chauncey of Lake Waccamaw.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 16th at 2 pm at Grove Park Chapel. Pastor Dale Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
