Dock Monroe Flemmons, 98-year-old Civil War veteran, died at his home in North Carrollton this morning. He had been sick only a few days. Funeral services and arrangements are incomplete. Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Flemmons, familiarly known as "Uncle Dock," was active all his life and was sick only a short time before his passing. He had been a member of the Baptist Church for 80 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leatha Flemmons and the following children: Sam O. Flemmons, Carrollton; J. V. Flemmons, Marks; Mrs. Lilly Patton, Carrollton, and Mrs. Lizzie Spurgeon, Rolling Fork.

Rites For Civil War Veteran Will Be Held Tomorrow Afternoon.
Funeral services for Dock Flemmons will be held at the Baptist church in Carrollton tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery with Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Flemmons, familiarly known as "Uncle Dock" was active all his life and was sick only a short time before his passing. He had been a member of the Baptist Church for 8O years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leatha Flemmons and the following children: Sam O. Flemmons, Carrollton; J. R. Flemmons, Marks; Mrs. Lilly Patton, Carrollton, and Mrs. Lizzie Spurgeon, Rolling Fork.
