Albert B. Fleming

Albert Benjamin Fleming, 83, of Franklin, Tenn., died Tuesday, March 6, 2007.

Mr. Fleming was born and raised in Hodges, Ala. He has been a resident of Franklin, Tenn., for more than 40 years. He was a member of Walker Memorial Baptist Church, served his country in the Army during World War II and was retired from Ford Glass Plant in Nashville.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 9, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel, Russellville, with visitation from noon-2 p.m.

Officiating will be Jim Taylor, with burial to follow immediately after the service in Old Line Cemetery, Hodges, Ala.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Jane Wood Fleming, Franklin, Tenn.; son, Johnny Albert (Teresa) Fleming, Knoxville, Tenn.; daughter, Sharon Lynn (David) Carroll, Franklin, Tenn.; grandchildren, Johnny Ryan Fleming, Benjamin Grant Bufford and Amelia Claire Bufford; stepgranddaughter, Misty (JD) Shelton, Jacob and Gracie, Knoxville, Tenn.; sisters, Nellie Mae Plumley, Lindale, Texas, Cecil Parie (Sally) Wileman, Hodges, Ala.; brothers, Harbet Basse (Buster) Fleming, and twin, Elbert Willihite (Todd) Fleming, Hodges, Ala.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be brothers-in-law, Joe Wood, Bob Wood and Max Wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, B.C. and Lula Fleming, siblings, Una Bertha Bernard and Carbet McKinley Fleming.

Pinkard Funeral Home, of Russellville, is directing.
