Betty Jo (Fleming) Ethridge passed away on October 12, 2009 to be with our Lord and Savior. She was born March 26, 1922 in Woodland, Texas, moved to Edmond as a child of seven. She met her husband to be, M.C. Ethridge, in high school, and they were married in Reno, Nevada, on September 12, 1941. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Edmond and treasured her long friendships with members of her Sunday School Class. She was employed as an Asst. City Clerk for the City of Edmond for fifteen years, afterwards working for the Edmond Regional Hospital for twenty years. She loved golf, bridge, bowling and following OU Football with family and friends. She was preceded in death by both parents, Nanny and Ona Fleming; two brothers, Francis (Dutch) and Charles Fleming; and one sister, Mary Dell Watkins. She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Fitzpatrick and Mona Kay Nomura; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; sister, Myra Moore; and one brother, Ona Moore Fleming. Graveside services will be 3:00p.m. Thursday, at Memorial Park Cemetery in the Historic Chapel. Arrangements under the direction of Baggerley Funeral Home.
