Mrs. Mattie Fleming Betts, 86, of Valley died Sunday, July 30, 2000 at Beverly Health Care.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 11 a.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Tom Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.
Mrs. Betts is survived by two nieces, Suellen Fleming of Jonesboro, Ga., and Joanne Yarbrough of Valley; four nephews, Robert (Bob) Yarbrough of Duluth, Ga., Joe Fleming of Avondale Estates, Ga., Bob Fleming of Alpharetta, Ga., and Michael Cleveland of Greer, S.C.; eight great-nieces and -nephews; three great-great-nieces and -nephews; and two great-great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Born March 17, 1914 in Georgia, Mrs. Betts was a former rental property manager. She was a member of Fairfax United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Betts. She was the daughter of the late Ida Mae Gladney Fleming and Robert Fleming.
Flowers will be accepted.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 1 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
