M. Lois Church, 78, of Manchester, VT, passed away August 26, 2010 at the Equinox Terrace in Manchester. Lois was born in Stamford, CT on September 30, 1931, the daughter of George T. and Margaret (Lyle) Fleming. She married Philip Church in July of 1948.Philip passed away in December of 1993. Lois was a Dispatcher for the town of Manchester as well as the secretary for the Manchester Chief of Police for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and crocheting. She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law; Philip and Ping Church of N. Clarendon, VT, James and Georgeanne Church of Manchester, VT and William and Patricia Church of Shrewsbury, VT, a daughter and son-in-law; Kathie and Donald Keeler of Danby, VT her grandchildren; Andrew Church, Jordan Church, Kevin Keeler and his wife Jessica and Keith Keeler; her great granddaughter; Anna Keeler, 3 sisters; Elizabeth Giglio of Florida, Geraldine Bomwell of S. Carolina and Roberta Fleming of CT and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, George Fleming. Graveside services will be held on Monday August 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Factory Point Cemetery in Manchester. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Lois' memory be made to the Manchester Rescue Squad c/o Brewster Funeral Service PO Box 885 Manchester, VT 05255.
