Donna Jean Edwards, age 73, of Campbell passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at Corning Hospital. Donna was born in Corning on May 27, 1938, the daughter of the late Andrew and Beulah (Treat) Fleet. She married Lyman C. Edwards on September 29, 1955, in Bradford, NY.
Donna was a school bus driver for Campbell and Campbell-Savona School Districts from 1969 until 1999. She loved her flower gardens, doing crafts, and spending her winters in Florida since 1999.
She is survived by her husband, Lyman; daughter, Beth Maglier of Corning; son, Lyman D. Edwards of Campbell; five grandchildren: Gretchen Millard of Waverly, Amber (Paul) Gesford of Waverly, and Mickenzie, Monica, and Dustin Edwards of Campbell. Donna is also survived by her sister, Joan (Wayne) Ferguson of Williamson, NY; sister in law, Helen Edwards and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Edgar Fleet in 1984 and Duane Fleet in 2009.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011, from 10 AM until Noon at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney Street, Corning with a memorial service immediately following. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Painted Post.
