Baily Peyton FLATT was born April 9, 1861 in Jackson, TN. and died Nov. 22, 1934, at his home near Buckner, IL., age 73. Burial at Mt. Pleasant. When he was 4 years old he moved to Franklin County with his parents. He was 1 of 9 children born to Andrew and Martha SMITH FLATT: Canzada, Louvena, Margaret, Daniel, Samuel, Crawford, Dock, and David, and Baily. On March 3, 1881, he married Miss Mary Artamissa MEEK. They became the parents of 8 children: infant twins and Rawleigh Everett dying in infancy, leaving, Mrs. Elsie PAYNE of Buckner; Mrs. Veda TEFFERTILAR, of Patton, CA; Mrs. Grace BARANCHER and Roy FLATT, of near Buckner, and Mrs. Alma BROWNING of Buckner. He is also sv/b 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
